Animation Highlight: Journey Birds

"Personal stories fuse together as man and bird in a cinematic commentary on immigration.”

Browsing through Flooby Nooby, one of my favorite sites and came across this animated documentary.
Visually it stands in its own niche by combining what seems like graphite renditions of actual photographs and videos or photorealistic illustrations with anamaphoric birds in color to pop from the background.
Within the first minute I was hooked because one lady expressed her feelings about Venezuela, a country where my grandfather was from, where I visited a few times with my mom but haven't been back in over 15 years.
This short the expierences of a few individuals that had to migrate from their native country and what it was like for them.

An animated documentary by Daphna Awadish.
